Reward Transparency & Optimizer (RTO) Chrome Extension · Last updated: May 2026

1. What Data We Access

When you visit a webpage, the RTO extension reads a sample of the visible text on the current page (up to 80,000 characters) solely to detect whether a reward or cashback offer is present.

2. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not collect, store, or transmit any page content to external servers.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not collect personal information (name, email, account details, financial data).
• We do not use third-party analytics, telemetry, or tracking services.
• We do not modify, inject into, or redirect any page content or links.
• We do not share any data with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Local Storage

The extension stores the following data locally on your device only, using Chrome's built-in storage APIs:

• Last evaluation result — the reward offer data detected on the last visited page (stored in local storage, cleared manually or on uninstall).
• Hidden domains list — domains you choose to hide via the "Hide for domain" button.
• Pro settings — custom multiplier preferences (if you enable Pro mode).

None of this data is ever sent outside your browser.

4. Permissions Explained

• activeTab — Read the visible text of the currently active tab to detect reward offers.
• storage — Save evaluation results and your preferences locally.
• tabs — Open the "How we estimate" page or affiliate links in a new tab when requested.

5. Affiliate Links

The extension may optionally display a "Claim Offer" button that opens an affiliate/referral link to the reward platform. This feature is opt-in and clearly disclosed. We may receive a referral commission if you sign up through these links. This does not affect the accuracy of our analysis or verdicts.

6. Third-Party Services

The extension does not communicate with any third-party service. The rules used for reward detection are embedded directly in the extension package and are not fetched from a remote server.

7. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will increment the extension version and note changes in the Chrome Web Store listing. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
